Getting to our Hotel garni Buchenhof

Our hotel is located in the peaceful and quiet part of Velden called Sonnental. Right next to our hotel there is a little path which leads directly to Velden’s center. Within only ten minutes you can find a number of different stores, delicious restaurants, bars, discos, the Casino and the beautiful Wörthersee.

Even though we are a little bit “hidden” it is easy to find your way to us. Just follow the “Buchenhof” signs.

A secret tip from us to go to the center is the “Teufelsgraben” – a nice path in the shadows of the beautiful old trees next to the river gives you a romantic mood especially in the morning. It is a great option for a morning jog.

From Italy, Villach and Vienna: take the highway A2 “Südautobahn”;

From Salzburg and Munich: take the highway A10 “Tauernautobahn”;

From Ljubljana: take the highway A11 “Karawankenautobahn”

 
by train:

IC- train station Velden am Wörthersee

“Tauernbahn” from Munich, Karawankenbahn from Ljubljana. There are regional bus lines from all directions.

 
by airplane:

Ryan Air as well as HLX are offering the possibility to fly into Klagenfurt. If you decide to take the plane we are will pick you up from the airport.
